Dr. Mark Gunst, is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. He received his medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock. Dr. Gunst has more than 20 years of diverse trauma and emergency surgery experience and has served 13 years active duty with the United States Air Force. As an active duty physician, Dr. Gunst practiced general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care. In addition, he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as the medical director and chief of trauma and emergency surgery. Dr. Gunst has authored, co-authored, and published multiple scientific papers based on trauma and critical care.
